Halloween Parade

This year’s Halloween Parade will take begin at 9:45 a.m.
There will be seating available for parents/guardians in the wood gym, blue gym and cafeteria to watch their child walk across the stage (wood gym), chorus risers (blue gym) and through the cafeteria during the parade. Parents need to remain in the designated seating areas for the duration of the parade. For safety reasons, we request that parents do not stand in the hallways or follow their child in the parade, as the hallway space is needed for the students (and staff) and has limited capacity.
If you are dropping off your child for school, and you wish to stay for the parade, please go directly to one of the designated seating areas listed above and wait for the parade to start. We ask that parents of students in grades 1-5 do not go to the classrooms, so there is no interruption of instructions. Parents of kindergarten students may go to their child’s classroom to partake in the Kindergarten Halloween celebrations.
Students may come to school dressed in their costumes as long as they are not a safety hazard on the bus.
The parade will take place entirely inside the building. The kindergarten students will lead our parade to the blue gym first, then to the cafeteria and through the wood gym. We appreciate your patience in waiting for students to parade through your seating area as we anticipate some travel lulls between grade levels.
If you plan on taking your child home after the parade, please wait for the completion of the entire parade before signing your child out. There will be an announcement indicating the completion of the parade. At that time, parents may sign their child out at his/her classroom. Students will not be dismissed until the parade is completely over.
Parents who are taking their child home must exit the school grounds (including the parking lot) by 11 a.m so that we may dismiss students safely to the busses.
We ask that parents do not wear costumes so that we are able to identify all adult visitors in the building.
As always masks, weapons and scary costumes are not allowed in school
