Principal’s Comments

Working through first couple weeks. Everything is going well so far.

New Dismissal procedure still going through improvements. But time is comparable to last year’s pickup. He dismissal procedure was required to change due to the weapons detection system. All adults in school must pass through it.

Really great assembly last week. Hope the kids enjoyed it.

• 9/6-9/13 Mum sale
  • Pickup will be Thursday, Sept. 21st 3:30-6:00 pm
  • Volunteers Needed for pickup sorting
  • Sold 113 Mums so far!
  • Forms due Tomorrow. No stragglers
• 9/25-10/6 School Spirit wear
  • Reduced Selection to make it easier
  • Apparel usually around Thanksgiving
  • Volunteers will be needed for sorting – November TBD
• 9/27 – Picture Day
  • Picture retake 11/16
  • Forms will go out next week.
  • Yearbook is separate.
    • 5^th Graders do not need to purchase a yearbook.
  • 10/2-10/13 – Winter Wonderland Sale
    • Pickup will be 11/30 – Volunteers Needed
    • Sale is a Catalog Sale with Wrapping paper and other items
  • 10/13 from 6-8pm – Fall Social/ Book Fair

    • 10/31 9:45-10:45 – Halloween Parade
      • 1/2 Day of School
      • Spectators in Wood, blue gym, cafeteria. Will need to go through weapon detectors
      • If you can get registered in the office before halloweeen it will speed things up. Just need to scan your license
      • Teachers will ask for RSVPs ahead of time
    • 11/6-11/13 – Poinsettia Sale
      • Red, White, Pink Poinsettias
      • Pickup will be in november.
    • 11/17 – Fun Run

        • Shop set up 12/1
        • Volunteers Needed
        • Shopping list for family members – students go shopping for gifts. Come home wrapped
      • 12/15 6:00-7:30 pm – Holiday Social/ Grinch
        • Volunteers Needed
        • Virtual Again
        • Grinch reads story, does craft with supplies
        • Scavenger Hunt through House
        • Send home hot chocolate, popcorn etc
