NW Pre-K Welcome

Chair Person Reports:

 

  • Basket Auction- very organized- raised a little more than last year. Tara will possibly still run the event in 2020.
  • Chocolate Sale- All order forms were turned in on 3/12.  Delivery is scheduled for 4/8. Around $7000 in sales.

 

 

Treasurer Report:

  • Summary- Reports are complete- Amazon smile, Liability insurance, PBIS, Holiday Party $38,000 total in our budget. Some money will go towards projects that will last from year to year with board approval. Coupon books will be eliminated for one year.
  • Funding Requests- No funding requests at this time

Corresponding Secretary Report:

Sharon Downie’s mother passed away on 3/1- Condolence card was sent.

Upcoming Fundraisers:

  • Paint Night- Will be run by a parent volunteers on 03/29 630-730 and all profits will stay in house.
  • Spring Book Fair-Dino Mite- Teachers have all received their books and very much appreciated. Buy one get one will be eliminated this year. Friday night April 5th- Family activity night- Dino Candy, eggs; will be available for sale. Book fair will run from the 8th to the 10th. Parents can pay ahead electronically.

New Items:

  • Teacher appreciation
    • Monday 3/11 Teacher Room Service- Very well received by teachers and the students enjoyed seeing the positive interaction between parents and teachers. April- $5 book certificates will be given to all staff. May- Luncheon & Hollywood theme will be
    • Looking for volunteers for next set of activities
  • Nominations were sent out
    • Due 3/25- make sure you understand what you are signing up for.
    • Will be presented at our next PTO meeting May 2nd
  • Fundraisers for next year- winter wonderland will look different
  • PBIS- Coin Drive was successful.
  • Field Day planning underway- order forms are due on 3-12. 79 volunteers will be needed. Carnival games will be held in the gym. Outdoor games will be set up as well. Obstacle course bounce house. Parents will be able to sign up next year. Kevin McCarthy will be in the afternoon. Volunteers have to be there the entire day. There will be allergy friendly snacks available.
    • T-shirt order forms sent home
  • Spring Flowers??- Do we want to offer this year?- Yes, May 9, 10 and 11th.
