Chair Reports

  • Bash: raised $2640 in profits, many showed up the night of, it was a great representation of the school
  • Snowflake Shop: Renee thanked everyone for letting her run it the traditional way one last time. She was appreciative of all the help. There was a profit of $8024.70. There is an inventory list of 961 items left, totaling $1566.25. Left over items will go to the school store and to some baskets for the Basket Auction. A company representative will talk at the next BEN meeting. There was bad feedback from West Street when they used a company. (Students did not like trinkets, list of complaints on the items, etc.)
  • Nominating: After reading off who signed up for what, and asking those present for help, all positions were filled.
  • Chocolate Sale: Platter’s no longer does fundraising, so Niagara Chocolate was used. Orders are due 2/2 and will be delivered 3/14 all packaged per person.
  • Basket Auction: Is fast approaching. Get your baskets in by 1/26 for a complimentary sheet of tickets. There is a meeting scheduled for 1/23. They are still picking up baskets from classrooms and donations are starting to coming in.
  • 5th grade promo: The picture of the 5th graders will be taken March 5th
  • Spring Pictures: Will be March 6th. All students will have their picture taken. This makes BEN money even if their picture is not purchased
  • Yearbooks: The deadline to buy will be extended till 3/1. Fifth graders do not have to buy because that is part of their gift.
  • Poinsettia Sale: made a $1000 profit
  • Paint Night: will be 1/26. There are 40 spots total. The picture is a snowy owl. The cost is $15. There are no refunds.
  • Box Tops: will run the class competition again
  • Field Day: Need to figure out a rain scenario and what to do at the end of the day, so it is not Mercy Flight every year. One possibility is an assembly indoors so you are out of sun. A committee will be set up after the basket auction.
  • Sledding Day: If there is snow, a flyer will be sent out for 1/21
  • Spring Flowers: Jena will make a flyer. It will be pre-order or last minute but all pick-ups will be at Fiorella Garden’s. The sales will profit BEN. There might be activities for kids such as face painting or a bounce house.

Cookie Dough, Intramurals and further discussion on field day were all tabled to the February meeting.
