Upcoming Fundraisers:
- Basket Auction: The basket auction is in need of volunteers still. There will be 3 separate shifts. They will also be accepting basket donations up until they day before.
- Spring Book Fair: Will kick off 4/5 with a Dino-Mite theme. We will have 2 inflatable dinosaur costumes to add into the fun. Details still being worked out. This will also be the first time to shop at te book fair then then following 8, 9, and 10th the classrooms will be able to shop.
New Items:
- Winter Wonderland Survey Results: Shopping during the day was requested in high demand. Liked the craft however parents prefer that the kids have an opportunity to shop with their class during the day. Can host a separate holiday social with Santa/The Grinch earlier in the month of Decemeber.
- Scholastic Dollars: Was able to give the librarian $1k towards new books, and will evenly distribute money to each grade for classroom libraries. Scholastic magazines may be discontinued. More to come on that.
- Empties for Empower: Will start with bins in the teacher lounge and lunchroom. Need to reach out to Mrs. Harris to be sure she isn’t already doing something like this. 100% of the bottle return profit would go back to ER.
- PBIS: Will be requesting funds for themed experiences that the kids can earn.
- Nominations coming up: Need to be sure all positions are filled and should be sent out end of March.
- Field Day –looking for closing days ideas/volunteers: Will set up the volunteer sheet once the day is determined to see how many we will need. Looking for closing ceremony ideas. Discussed Kevin McCarthy. Possible carnival idea for an indoor activity.
New Item:
NW Pre-K at Bunny Bunch: School started on 2/4. There are 2 locations NFB, and Ward Rd. It is full day 9am-2pm fully paid by the district. They do offer wrap around care. Do need to have your own transportation. There are still many spots left. They are working closely with the Pre-K for a seamless transition to Kindergarten at ER. We will be including them in all of our PTO correspondence and inviting them to our next meeting and any remainder of the year events.
