SUMMARY:Holiday Star Project
DESCRIPTION:As the holidays approach\, it is once again time for our Holiday Star Project to begin. This year\, we have several families in our school community with many sincere needs. They would appreciate your generosity in bringing their children some holiday joy. We are asking for your help in purchasing gifts for the children 18 and under in these households. Beginning mid-November\, the front foyer will be filling up with colored stars. All of the stars will contain a letter representing the family on the top to protect their privacy\, the gender and age of the recipient and a specific gift written on it. In addition\, each star color will represent a price range: \nRed: Under $10\nYellow: $10-$15\nGreen: $16-$24\nBlue: $25-$35 \nThose who would like to help are asked to either\, select and remove a star from the front foyer\, or\, complete the form below and send it in with your child so that s/he can select a star and bring it home. Once you have selected a star\, please purchase the item listed on the star\, wrap the gift\, securely tape the star (item side up) on the top of the package and return it to the school by Wednesday\, December 13th. \nFor those of you who would like to take part\, but would prefer to provide a monetary contribution\, we will have purple stars available that simply say “Supporting Star”. If you wish to take one of these stars\, return the star with whatever amount you would like to contribute and we will use the money to buy and wrap a gift for you. We will match up monetary values with stars that still need to be purchased. All monetary contributions will need to be turned in by Monday\, December 4th in order to give us enough time to shop and wrap the gifts. \nPlease be extra careful not to misplace the stars since each star is for a specifically requested item. Return any star that you are unable to buy a gift for to your child’s teacher or office staff so that someone else may purchase that item.
