  • Each officer of BEN for Errick Road PTO will write an introduction on the FB page and should feel comfortable to post any relevant information.
  • 10 reasons to join PTO will be posted every Monday by officers. “Motivational Mondays”
  • All papers sent home from BEN for ER PTO will also be posted on the FB page and website. (Grey Paper)
  • Aline volunteered to hand out freezie pops during new student orientation on 8/28 @3pm
  • Box Tops: Bi-Monthly contests Liz
  • Winter Wonderland Ideas: Breakfast with Santa? Santa’s Workshop?
  • Babysitting availability from honor society student during BEN meetings is pending
  • Welcome Back Letter to Staff

Budget:

  • Budget Meeting is scheduled for November (Move budget meeting to May?)
  • Discussed Various Budget line items

Votes:

All officers voted Yes for the following:

  1. Apply for a DBA to change the name from BEN to Errick Road PTO
  2. Yearbooks will be paid for by families – BEN will pay for all 5th Grade and Care Team
  3. Wrapping the bathroom doors with inspirational quotes
  4. Increase the decoration line item to $2250

Membership:

  • Membership info will be sent home the first day of school, FB page, Website
  • Promote no time commitment required to join, competition between the classes for the most amount of parents that signed up to be a member (Monitor by having tree’s with apples for each class)
  • Dessert Social will be our first official meeting
  • A parent happy hour will be scheduled at the end of September. PTO with a Twist  Tentative date 9/21

Chaired Events:

  • Chairs for Events- A standard form was created for chairs of each event to complete to help create uniformity and a way to collect information. Each event will have its own binder and will be housed in the BEN room.
  • Each chair will decide if they want a committee and will decide how many people and responsibilities with dates and times.
  • Reviewed chair designation.
