Principal Business:
- Explained the district & building goals. Part of this is to increase engagement for students, parent & community. As part of the Falcon Force Recognition program, the committee is asking for $500 to:
- purchase stickers saying “Ask me how I earned Falcon cash today”
- purchase 10,000 post cards that staff will mail home when a child does something in line with the beliefs (goal is for every child to receive 1 through the mail during a school year- it is a tangible reward & can increase communication between parent & child)
- Discussed the implementation of a “Parent Buddy” system for new families to our district. This person is someone the new parent could reach out to. The mentor parent would be sure to invite the new one to events etc. Each mentor parent would have 5 or less new families to mentor. If anyone is interested in chairing this program let a BEN officer know
