Meeting was called to order at 6:55pm by Kelly who welcomed everyone & started the pledge

Officer Reports:

  • Merrie-Carole shared that Ms. Davis had a baby girl
  • Karin shared the minutes from the February meeting
  • Annette went over the treasurer’s report. Current balance is $28085.08 (of which $6161.59 is 5th grade promotions)

– There are no current funding requests

Chairperson Reports & New Business:

  • Nominations update was given and some members present at the meeting volunteered for open positions
  • Chocolate sale netted a $5555.27 profit
  • Box top contest earned $1100
  • Spring pictures will be March 24th. BEN makes $1.50 off of every student who is photographed, even if you do not buy any packages. This goes towards the yearbooks. Volunteer sheet was available.
  • Lego club filled up and will be running a second session (April 20,27 & May 4,11)
  • Paint night is 3/10. Children will be painting a bunny. Since the 1st session sold out, they are running a 2nd one the same night from 7:45-8:45. Cost is $15.
  • 130 Bandits tickets were sold. The game is Saturday, April 1st.
  • Ideas for Spring Decorating were discussed. Possibilities include butterfly cut-outs or different flowers for each grade level and the students are the petals
  • There will be a Field Day meeting on March 14th at 7pm.
  • ​
  • At some point students will go back to classrooms to sign year books
  • Mercy Flight will arrive around 2pm
  • Some current ideas include: bounce house, water balloons, obstacle course, parachute games, relay races, playground time, crafts & school wide banner

New Fundraising Ideas:

  • Hanging mums baskets pre-orders only
  • Each class gets a water bottle to fill with dimes (when filled it equals $100)
  • Bingo Night adult only or Candy Bar Bingo for kids
  • Character Breakfast -> Easter or Princess & pirates etc.
  • Outdoor movie night -> sell snacks
  • Chili cook off in fall (match it to a Bills Game screening)
  • School Carnival
  • Christmas Ornament Sale
  • Talent show -> charge admission
