Treasurer Report- Monthly reports will be provided at each meeting. Budget meeting in November- Teachers can make requests and BEN members will have a vote on what the money is being spent on. Budget meeting in May as well to then go from May to May.

Additional requests can be made throughout the school year.

Current Budget reviewed. Invited member to give new suggestions of fundraisers.

PE staff submitted a request for agility ladders that can be used for all students. $386.89 -Approved

Girls HS Soccer team requested a donation from BEN for their color run and a $50 GC will be donated.

New This Year

  • Motivational Messages in Boys/Girls bathrooms
  • Winter Wonderland- Craft will done with all students K-5. December 14th a winter social will be planned for students to attend with their families to shop for holiday gifts and enjoy activities.
  • Amazon Smile- Flyer will be sent home. Bookmark to homescreen because it will not work through the app. Shoparoo is another app to help bring money to the school. Tops and Red Robin also have kickbacks to the school. Parents are invited to share any ideas for fundraising.

Suggestions: School Supplies could be purchased by school at one cost to the family. (Jennifer Wolff will research)

  • Lego Club will be held again this year. First come first serve.
  • All BEN paperwork will be sent home on grey paper.

Chair Reports

  • Picture Day 09/26
    • Parents K-4 need to buy yearbooks
    • Retake Day to November 6th.
    • Looking for 4 more volunteers for picture day.
    • 5th grade will get a yearbook for their promotion.
  • Save Around Books/Sale ends 09/21 books to go be distributed following week
  • Mum Sale Runs thru to 9/11 Pickup is 9/20- 500 mums have been sold and there are more orders coming in.
  • Scholastic Book Fair/Fall Social- sign ups to help- 1461 books were given to the school and homes from scholastic. Volunteers are needed to help students purchase books during the school day. Sales tax needs to be considered when determining the amount of money to send with your child. There will be an app to pre load money on for students. Food truck options were discussed for the social.
  • Box Tops – Box Tops App- Monthly contests will be held.
  • Parent Buddy’s- new this year- you can sign up to be a Buddy to assist new families at Errick Road.

Upcoming Fundraisers

  • Spirit Wear- with spirit wear days . BEN will pair with counselors to organize spirit days/week

Events

  • Errick Road Bash goes Gatsby (Tickets on sale now)- Need volunteers and donations. Wine and Liquor donations at the door.
